Executive Coaching in Denver

Executive Coaching for Executives, Senior Leaders & Organizations

Leadership becomes more complex the higher you climb.

Your decisions carry greater consequences, expectations increase, difficult conversations become more frequent – and the margin for error gets smaller. And while the people around you expect confidence and clarity, there are fewer places where you can think out loud without politics, agendas, or unintended consequences.

The Kanthal Group provides executive coaching in Denver for executives and senior leaders – and for organizations investing in the development of their leadership.

Whether you’re leading organizational change, navigating a difficult workplace situation, addressing friction within your team, or working to become a more effective executive, an experienced executive coach provides an objective partner with no political stake in the outcome.

Although we’re based in Denver, we coach leaders throughout The Front Range, Colorado, and across the United States.

What Executive Coaching Is and Isn’t

Executive coaching helps leaders become more effective by improving how they think, communicate, make decisions, and lead others.

Executive coaching isn’t someone telling you what to do.

It isn’t consulting with a different title.

And it isn’t just a place to vent.

Executive coaching begins with one simple belief:

You already have more answers than you realize.

As your executive coach, our role is helping you uncover them.

Every coaching conversation begins with understanding what’s actually happening before we ever discuss possible solutions.

Sometimes you’ll discover your own answer.

Sometimes we’ll share patterns and perspectives we’ve seen while coaching leaders through similar challenges.

Sometimes you’ll ask for our opinion – and we’ll give it.

But ultimately, you have to decide what you’re willing – or unwilling – to do.

That’s where meaningful leadership growth begins.

What Executive Coaching Helps You Achieve

Executive coaching isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming a more intentional version of the leader you already are.

Some leaders need to speak up more.

Others need to speak less.

Some need to set clearer expectations.

Others need to ask better questions.

There isn’t one right way to lead.

There is only the right way for you, your team, and your organization.

At its core, our executive coaching helps leaders recognize the behaviors that may be limiting their effectiveness.

Our executive coaching commonly helps leaders:

Lead more confidently through uncertainty and change

Make better decisions under pressure

Navigate conflict and difficult conversations

Become the kind of leader others genuinely want to follow

Communicate more effectively with teams, peers, and executives

Build trust, accountability, and stronger team performance

Increase self-awareness and recognize leadership blind spots

Strengthen executive presence and leadership influence

When Executive Coaching Is the Right Investment

Executive coaching isn’t reserved for leaders in crisis. More often, organizations invest in executive coaching because leadership has become more complex, the stakes have increased, and/or they want to help a strong leader become even more effective.

Organizations and leaders commonly reach out when:

An executive wants an objective partner to think through important decisions.

A high-performing leader is creating friction within the organization.

Difficult conversations are being delayed, avoided, or handled inconsistently.

A leader is carrying more responsibility than ever before and has fewer places to think out loud.

An organization wants to invest in the development of a valuable leader.

A leader's intentions and their impact on others are no longer aligned.

A leadership team wants to improve trust, accountability, and collaboration.

A successful leader isn't seeing themselves the way others experience them.

Executive coaching isn’t about fixing broken leaders.
It’s about helping capable leaders become even more effective.

Executive Coaching for Leaders and Organizations

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all or cookie-cutter executive coaching. Every leader, organization, and situation is different, so every coaching engagement is tailored to your unique goals, challenges, and circumstances.

Some executives seek an executive coach on their own to become more effective leaders. Others are sponsored by their organization, HR leader, CEO, or Board as an investment in leadership development. We also partner with organizations looking to strengthen an entire leadership team through executive team coaching.

Our work begins by taking stock of your current state, how you arrived here, what’s working, and what isn’t. From there, we’ll establish your desired future state. It doesn’t need to be crystal clear or etched in stone, but we need a shared understanding of where you want to go. Then, we work together to determine the steps you’re willing, or unwilling, to take to move toward that future.

Organizations choose The Kanthal Group because we provide:

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an executive coach do?
An executive coach helps leaders improve leadership effectiveness, communication, decision-making, executive presence, emotional intelligence, and overall performance. Executive coaching provides confidential support, objective feedback, practical accountability, and an objective perspective that helps leaders grow more quickly than they typically would on their own.
Who hires an executive coach?
Executive coaching may be initiated by an individual leader or sponsored by an organization. HR leaders, CEOs, Presidents, executive teams, and business owners frequently invest in executive coaching to develop leaders, improve performance, navigate organizational change, and strengthen leadership capability.
What’s the difference between an executive coach and a leadership coach?
An executive coach typically works with executives and senior leaders, while a leadership coach may work with leaders at any level within an organization. In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably, and both focus on helping leaders improve communication, decision-making, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Do you only provide executive coaching in Denver?
No. Our office is located in Denver, Colorado, and we work with organizations throughout the Denver metro area, across Colorado, and virtually throughout the United States.
How much does executive coaching cost?
Executive coaching investments vary based on the leader, the organization, the length of the engagement, and the desired outcomes. We tailor every engagement to the specific needs of our clients, so we’ll discuss pricing after learning more about your situation.
How do I know if executive coaching is right for me?
Executive coaching is right for leaders who want an experienced, objective thought partner. As your responsibilities evolve and grow, there are often fewer places where you can think out loud, challenge your own assumptions, and work through difficult situations without internal politics or agendas. That’s where an executive coach can make a meaningful difference.
Is executive coaching worth it?

If you’re looking for someone to tell you what to do, probably not.

If you’re looking for an experienced, objective thought partner who will challenge your thinking and help you become a more effective leader – yes! Many executives find coaching to be one of the best investments they make in themselves.

Is executive coaching confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core tenet of executive coaching and essential to building trust.

Our conversations are designed to be a place where you can think out loud, challenge your assumptions, and work through difficult situations openly. That only works when you know those conversations remain confidential.

When coaching is sponsored by an organization, HR leader, CEO, or Board, we lean conservative in what we share. We may provide factual updates—such as whether meetings are occurring regularly, engagement levels, or whether meaningful progress is being made—but we don’t disclose the substance of confidential coaching conversations.

If a situation calls for a broader discussion, we typically recommend bringing the appropriate stakeholders together so important conversations can happen openly rather than through the coach.

How long does executive coaching last?

Our flagship program spans six months, with two coaching sessions per month for a total of 12 meetings.

That said, we remain flexible and tailor every engagement to the unique needs of the leader and the organization.

Some clients view executive coaching as an ongoing part of their leadership development and retain us as a long-term trusted advisor. Others engage us to work through a specific leadership challenge. Once we’ve achieved the desired outcomes, we conclude the engagement, knowing we’re always available as new opportunities and challenges arise.
